Ethylphenidate is a stimulant (upper) drug closely related to methylphenidate (commonly known as Ritalin). Effects include feeling energetic and increased heart rate as well as increased sociability and sex drive. People using it can experience a restlessness, panic attacks, insomnia, pain and nasal damage from snorting and an urge to re-dose.
